The Leake County Purchasing Department is responsible for the establishment and administration of a centralized purchasing system that assists county departments and work centers in the procurement of equipment, parts, supplies and services in conformance with “State Purchasing Laws” and the Board of Supervisors policies. bid-proposal_MyC7_rPd

The department is responsible for the procurement of commodities, equipment, and services required for the operation of Leake County Government Offices and departments. The Department also maintains records of negotiated contract bids.

The Purchasing Department is staffed by procurement officers who are committed to timely acquisition of quality products and services required to support the county’s needs.

IN RE: ADVERTISING FOR BIDS FOR WATER TANK ROAD BRIDGE REPAIR The Board finds that the Bridge on Water Tank Road is in need of repair. In order to complete the repair, certain supplies are needed. The supplies are identified as follows: Two (2) - 10' x 50' Tankers, OR Three (3) - 8' x 50' Tankers On motion and second duly made and by the affirmative vote of a majority of the Board, Kirby Nazary, not present, Joe Andy Helton voting "Aye", Charlie Luckett voting "Aye", Michael Sherman voting "Aye", and Chip Jones voting "Aye" it is hereby ordered that the Clerk of this Board is directed to give notice that this Board will receive bids for supplies needed to repair Water Tank Road Bridge. Specifically, two (2) - 10' x 50' tankers OR three (3) - 8' x 50' tankers. Notice shall be advertised on https://bidnowsolutions.com/leake- county-mississippi, as well as two (2) other public places including the bulletin board in the Chancery Clerk's Office and to be published in The Carthaginian. Bidders may call 601-267-8002 with any questions. The bids may be submitted to https://bidnowsolutions.com/leake-county- mississippi/, or mailed to P.O. Box 595, Carthage, MS 39051. The Board will also receive bids at its office in the courthouse in Carthage, Leake County, Mississippi, until 9:00 a.m. on the 4th day of August, 2025, with bids to be opened shortly thereafter. The Board is acting under the authority of Section 27-35-53 and 27-35-101 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, and reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Industrial Park Prep – Request for Sealed Proposals

The Leake County Economic Development District of Leake County, Mississippi, will receive sealed proposals
for the Leake County Industrial Park Site Prep until 9 o’clock a.m. local time on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the
office of the Leake County Board of Supervisors office at 101 Court Square, Carthage, MS 39051. All
proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud 9 o’clock a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 in the Board Room.
The work in this project consists generally of earthwork on onsite material to shape the site to drain and be
easily maintained at the Leake County Industrial Park site as shown on plans.
